During these lab experiments, students learnt about lab thermometer, about safety measures and about how to read a thermometer. Students examined the changing state in different samples like melting ice, frozen water( ice), evaporating water and boiling water. They were also able to infer that all matter states finally reach room temperature.
Students also learnt about condensation and how substances dissolve in liquid. They could relate to process of evaporation in their own surroundings like cement drying up, glue drying up, perfumes and dry fruits. They will now complete the unit by inter relating states of matter through water cycle.
